Aveira shrugged. "They're stupid though." She didn't hate mudbloods as one would expect, but that didn't mean she liked them, either.

"They're good target practice."

"That they are, my dear." She made the fire disappear now that the girl wan't scared of it anymore.

She smiled.

"I wonder what would've happened if your father would've won."

She shrugged. "No target practice."

"Guess so. Did you hear the latest rumour circulating through the seventh years? It's said that Snape had... had a daughter."

Aveira looked at her with wide eyes. "Who'd wanna do it with him?"

"I don't know!" she snapped, "but apparently SOMEBODY did."

Aveira shivered. "You are much prettier, mon cherie," she purred. She took every chance she got to flirt.

"Than who? The person that fucked Snape or him?"

"Both my dear." She batted her eyelashes flirtatiously.

She laughed.

A passing first year looked at them funny, and then proceeded to burst into tears as his books turned into a giant spider.

Di was laughing, hiding her wand and trying to look like it wasn't her fault.

"Fascinating."

"You're always fascinating, love," Aveira said, grinning.

"I see," she said, "so is that first year's expression."

The first year was still crying.

The books were suddenly books again.

Aveira glanced at the first year. "First years are such babies. When I was a first year, the first thing I did was curse a seventh year who made a joke about my clothes." She shook her head. "I miss those days," she said wistfully.
