Toru ran his toes through the wet grass. Dusk was his favorite time of day. Until night. His toes caught on a small object. Closer examination revealed it was a ring, with a crack in the stone right down the middle. A symbol that looked like an eye was engraved upon it.

A raven landed on his shoulder and tilted it's head at the ring. It loked at him out of the corner of it's eye.

"Hi, Aveira," Toru murmured, caught up in his discovery. It was a nice ring.

The raven bit his earlobe, annoyed that she was being ignored. "CAW!" she said in bird-speak.

Toru slowly drew a finger across his bleeding earlobe, licking it off his finger when he drew it back to his mouth. "I apoligize. I did not mean to ignore you," he murmured, fingertip in his mouth. "You have my full attention."

The raven watched him, eyes half lidded. She flew down in front of him and became herself again. "Mmm, my dear you are so hard to resist," she purred.

"Mmm...I'm bleeding," he murmured, fingertip still in his mouth. He winked.

A sultry smile slid across her face. She moved closer to him, now just a foot away. "I like blood. It tastes good."

He used a different finger to draw the blood from his ear now, and gently offered her his finger.

She leaned forward to suck on his finger, swirling her tongue around it seductively. She kept eye contact the whole time.

He winked again, pulling his finger back. He finished whatever blood was left on it, then went back to examining the ring, glancing at her the entire time.

"Pretty," she said, pointing at the ring. "Where'd you find it?"

"Right here," he said, patting a place on the grass.

"What idiot would lose something like that?" she asked curiously.

"An idiot," he said. He held it out to her. "Keep it, for now. I don't wear rings."
