Di came back to herself.

"I like thestrals..." she laughed.

"I do too," Aveira said happily.

"They're pretty. Prettier than most things here."

"So who did you see die, anyway?" Aveira asked curiously.

"Um, I'm not supposed to talk about that."

She raised her eyebrows at Aveira.

Aveira looked at her in confusion before her eyes widened in understanding. "OH! You mean...? I didn't know you actually saw that...." she trailed off.

"It was at dinner... would've had a hard time missing it."

"I didn't know that either..." Aveira said.

"Oh. Oh well."

Aveira hmmmed and glanced at the sky. "I need to go soon..." she said. "There's something I have to get done before sunset."

"What're you up to?" Di said, raising her eyebrows.

"There's something I have to do," Aveira repeated.

"Nothing fatal, I presume?"

"Probably not," she answered.
